Accelerate Spotlight: Kris Rudeegraap

Accelerate 2021 is a 2-day virtual summit that features 15 speakers including some of the most respected leaders from the sales tech industry and the most loved sales coaches we have all admired and learned from. Accelerate is on Dec 14th and 15th. Click here to register.

This is a blog series where we interview speakers from Accelerate. Today’s featured speaker is Kris Rudeegraap, the CEO and Co-Founder of Sendoso.

Kris comes with years of experience in the sales industry and has held various leadership roles in sales. Along with running one of the best sending platforms, he also performs the duties of being an advisor to numerous companies and helps them along the way.

Here’s an interview with Kris where he talks about his views on the future of sales, tips on how to make a buyer’s journey smooth, his topic for Accelerate, and a lot more.

Q. How do you think sales has changed over the past 5 years? What do you predict will happen in the next 5 years?
I can see the inclusion of automation and AI in a lot of things, in sales. Many tasks can now be automated, thus, eliminating manual work. I think that new/underutilized channels will emerge in the near future. We’ll get to witness lots of sales tech tools and M&A over the next few years.

Q. What is the one piece of advice you'd like to give to people who are just starting out in sales?
Standing out from the crowd is really essential in sales. You can do that by making creativity your secret weapon. By applying creativity/personalization to your outreach you can easily attract more prospects.

Q. Can you tell us a bit about your greatest win in sales, something that still motivates you to date?
My greatest sale would be my very first sale and our first customer at Sendoso. This was around 5 years ago.

Q.Okay, let’s pretend this is a cold call, what’s your go-to cold calling opener? :)
This is what I usually go for, which is simple and effective:

Hey {name}! It's {yourname} from {company}, I saw that {research}, have you thought about the {idea}?

Q. How can we make a buyers’ journey smooth and exceptional? What is something you’d recommend?
I would suggest mapping out the buyer’s journey in a detailed manner and updating it. Most GTM teams don't do this.

Q. What will you be talking about at Accelerate 2021?
At Accelerate, I’ll be talking about ‘What will Sales Development strategies look like in 2022 (and beyond)?’ I’ll be covering how you can take your traditional outreach tactics to the next level with a personalized approach and drive impactful revenue to ensure your team hits (or exceeds) their numbers each quarter.

Q. A book that you recently read and would recommend to others?
A book that I found very insightful is ‘No Rules Rules: Netflix and the Culture of Reinvention’. It’s written by Erin Meyer and Reed Hastings. A great read to understand how the founder of Netflix created a company that went through various stages, the efficient company culture at Netflix, and more.

Kris is ready to speak at Accelerate which is on the 14th of December! Hope you’re pumped and ready for this too. If you haven’t registered yet, you still have time: Save my seat!
